In this episode, I’m breaking down how deeply the media has shaped our perception of alcohol. From scripted shows to reality TV, we’re constantly shown characters using alcohol to cope, unwind, survive stress, or numb uncomfortable emotions — and it’s all presented as totally normal.
I explore how these repeated storylines influence our beliefs about drinking, why they make alcohol feel like an expected part of adulthood, and whether our society would have such a complicated relationship with alcohol if we weren’t shown this behavior everywhere we look.
This is a conversation about awareness, culture, and the subtle messages that impact the way we drink ...often without us even realizing it.
